The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) kicked his election campaign here today with a roadshow where two main ministers, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, looked for at least one chance of people compared to 30 years of Congress and 17 years of BJP rules. .
“Our biggest disadvantage is that we do not know how to do politics but we certainly know how to do development, both open school and destroy corruption,” Kejriwal said in his trademark style in Turf Home Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said AAP had developed in Delhi and would do the same thing now in Punjab, where corruption was removed within 20 days.
“You have given 30 years to Congress and 17 years to BJP in Himachal. Give me five years. If you are not satisfied, you can change us,” he urged the crowd cheered while handling them from the open jeep in the Manche series.
“Thank you for the main welcome. At present, the entire city is soaked in a patriotic spirit. Ek Maeka De Do”, Kejriwal said. Roadshows, with tricolor who fluttered and the song “Mera Rang de Basanti Chola” played, lasted almost an hour.
Kejriwal asked people to confirm from relatives or friends who live in Delhi or Punjab if there is corruption in the government office there. He said he was sure that Himachal would break Delhi and Punjab records and gave the maximum seat for AAP in assembly elections.
While no prominent leader from BJP or Congress joined AAP, the meeting was impressive, showing people’s interest in kejriwal.
