Coronavirus Highlights: 1,581 New Covid Cases In India, Marginally Higher Than Yesterday

New Delhi: India reported a total of 1,581 new Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking Covid-19 Tally to 4.30.10.922. According to data from the Ministry of Health Union, the active case declined further to 23,913 today.

Active cases consist of 0.06 percent of the total infection. The National Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.74 percent, it showed.

Reduction of 2,741 cases have been recorded in the Covid-19 Kaseload active in the 24-hour range. The daily level of peposititivity was recorded at 0.28 percent, while the weekly front level reached 0.39 percent, the ministry said.

Commissioner of Pune City and Civic Vikram Kumar’s body administrator on Tuesday asked people who had not taken the second dose to get themselves vaccinated because there was a fear of the fourth wave in the midst of increasing cases in China, South Korea and several countries.

Speaking to reporters, Mr Kumar said medical facilities such as oxygen beds etc. can be activated immediately if needed.

“We keep a watch close in this situation. There are around 1.5 people who qualify for the second dose but have not taken it. We want them to get vaccinations as soon as possible,” he said.
